This weekend was honestly such a nice intro into what I hope will be a summer spent having fun with friends that I love.
Ryan and I kicked off the weekend with one of our favorites, Izakaya Den, with a glass of wine and some deliciously fresh shashimi. Can I quickly say, a trip to this Japanese Tapas Restaurant is not complete without an order of their Crispy Tuna or the Spicy Tuna Spring Roll!
We enjoyed the last few hours that Friday had with our friend Brian on our patio. Sitting in the warm evening air talking out initial plans to go to the Indian Wells Tennis Tourney next spring, drinking (more) wine and the boys having beers was just what I needed to wind down from a very busy week at work.
(seriously look at his face!)
Saturday started off great, a trip to the gym and then Rocco to get groomed. I was quite the proud mom to see him looking so darn cute with his new do!
The afternoon kicked off with me FINALLY getting out my bike to go on a not so ordinary bike ride. My friend Mark organized a biking pub crawl which was amazingly fun. About 20 people joined in the fun biking (some walking because they didn't have bikes) from bar to bar, stopping for drinks at each stop. The weather was a bit cool, topping out in the high 50's but that didn't stop us. We even played stump, a.k.a, nail a.k.a, hit the nail into the large stump as quick and as hard as you can!

Sunday could have been a day of lounging but we had a full plate of activities including brunch with our wonderful friends, Chuck and Jaime at one of the best restaurants in Denver, Root Down. After bloody marys, mimosas, a delicious Spanish Omelet and a few bites off of every one's plate and I was as happy as pig in shit.
I am not going to lie, I got a pretty nasty headache late Sunday evening which made for a long evening, especially when I had to work my 2nd job that night. I guess I have to have some lows with all the highs I had over the past 3 days.
What were your weekend plans like? I would love to hear!
Love the shots you got from your pub crawl! So fun - Awesome pics! And now I want a mimosa.
