Mixing Patterns in the Snow

October 25, 2012

(Kohls' black leggings  /  Banana Republic stripped tee (old) but similar here and here  /  The Limited camel cardigan  /  Miz Mooz riding boot similar here and here  /  Old Navy scarf)

I am not sure if my scarf/shirt combo is making me look like a bit of an optical illusion today but I think mixing patterns is really fun if it is done right.  (I am hoping I did it right!).  It snowed last night so I thought layers would be appropriate for today's 30x30 Remix.

So here I am in leggings, riding boots, a striped tee, knit cardigan and flowy scarf.  I know you cannot tell in these photos but snow was literally falling out of the trees onto me... oh and it is also 34 degrees outside!  At least the snow melted on the sidewalks though.

  1. I love this combo. I think the pattern mixing is subtle enough to really work.

  2. If that was Texas, you'd be in rain boots and a heavy coat and scarf, but more likely at your house since nobody can drive in snow and the city basically shuts down. :)
