At the
beginning of 2013 I listed out my new years resolutions as a way to publicly
and personally keep record of my goals.
None of my resolutions are grandiose but they all require
work/effort/thought on my part which gives me accountability for success. Spring has sprung and the first quarter of
the year is nearing its end, so, I thought I would share a quick update on my
resolutions thus far.
1. Financial
stability – just like the majority of people, I too have debt (shock, I
know!). Well, I am happy to report that
I recently paid off my credit card which previously held a small balance. It was such a proud moment of many to come
for my financial freedom. I know there
is no special fairy who is going to pop by and take care of my home loan or student
loan but knowing that my hard work, saving and actions are all moving me
forward is good enough for now.

2. Learn
how to use my camera – from my mini photo shoot with rocco, to documenting how
I made an ina garten recipe and my most recent trip to palm springs, I have
definitely tried to understand the functions and features of my camera. I would like to mess with the focus more to play with forefront and foreground but like they say ‘practice makes perfect’.

3. Physical fitness - I love yoga, I can get into a serious groove on the row machine and have fun lifting weights with Ryan. However, I struggle with doing any of these on a regular basis. A month before our recent vacation, I hit the gym pretty hard (the fear of getting into a swimsuit was my main motivation). I felt great and saw some results too. I need to keep the momentum going because I feel like I am already falling off the wagon. Hopefully my recent groupon purchase for a month of unlimited yoga and new running shoes will help my cause.
How are you doing with your resolutions? I would love to hear your personal goals and any updates you have.
Can't wait for the yoga together!
